About Me

I’m a developer and entrepreneur from South Africa, building websites and custom software for businesses worldwide.

I studied Computer Science and Economics at North-West University, ran my own digital agency for years, and spent time as Technical Lead at a commercial insurance company — building their full motor portal on Google Cloud from scratch.

In 2023 I launched MyCloud Website. I don’t claim to know everything — I claim to learn whatever your project needs. If you can dream it, I can build it.

  • 1 2023 – Present Web Developer & Designer MyCloud WordPress web development and digital services for businesses worldwide. Building fast, clean, conversion-focused websites — and documenting the whole journey honestly at jacquespienaar.com.
  • 2 2020 – 2022 Technical Lead RLR Commercial Insurance Consultants Led the full technical division. Built a motor insurance portal from scratch — Google Cloud infrastructure, Laravel backend, live API integration with an underwriter. Managed the entire technical stack and team.
  • 3 2016 – 2020 Digital Marketing EVO Information Systems Ran my own digital agency — web development, SEO, digital marketing, and ecommerce solutions for South African businesses. The foundation of everything that came after.

  • 4 2015 – 2018 BSc Computer Science and Economics North-West University, South Africa Studied Computer Science and Economics. Three credits short of graduating — the kind of detail that only matters on paper. The real education happened in 9+ years of building actual things for actual businesses.
